Do you think Igugu will run in the race or go for The Sheema Classic.
Can Igugu go one better than Asiatic Boy and win The Dubai World Cup.
What is the current odds in SA for this to happen

It's a risk playing ante-post,but I can see 12/1 for Igugu.
If she lines up and does act on the surface that looks tempting.
Animal Kingdom 5/1
Royal Delta 6/1
Farhh 7/1. Doubtful runner
Dullahan 10/1
Saint Balldalino 10/1
Igugu 12/1

even if bookies offered 500/1 for igugu i would not hv a bet.i am of the opinion that compared to international gr1 horses she is not up to that standard.my opinion of course and i do hope im wrong, but beating bravura in met doesnt excite me too much.its all well and good to be patriotic, but i dont think she is a superstar, slightly above avg at best, but no superstar.

The sensible approach - imo we can't really say how good (or not) she is until she has run against these 'international' runners

I'm not as huge an Igugu fan as others here, but consider this list before writing off her chances, whichever race she runs in. These are only the South African bred and/or raced horses, so doesn't include some like Asiatic Boy.

Lundy's Liability (Brz) by Candy Stripes - 1st in UAE Derby (2004)
Victory Moon (SAf) by Al Mufti - 1st in UAE Derby (2003)
Sun Classique (Aus) by Fuji Kiseki - 1st in Sheema Classic (2008)
Grand Emporium (SAf) by National Assembly - 1st in Godolphin Mile (2005)
Jay Peg (SAf) by Camden Park - 1st in Dubai Duty Free (2008)
Ipi Tombe (Zim) by Manshood - 1st in Dubai Duty Free (2003)
J J The Jet Plane (SAf) by Jet Master - 1st in Al Quoz Sprint (2011)
J J The Jet Plane (SAf) by Jet Master - 1st in Al Quoz Sprint (2009)

Lizard's Desire (SAf) by Lizard Island - 2nd in Dubai World Cup (2010)
Raihana (Aus) by Elusive Quality - 2nd in UAE Derby (2010)
Royal Vintage (SAf) by Rich Man's Gold - 2nd in UAE Derby (2008)
