We were very lucky to have Dr Emmeline Hill from Equinome come and visit us last week to talk about some groundbreaking thinking on how to use genetics to help breed and race horses that have genetic propensity to perform to higher standards.
Equinome was established in 2009 to assist the bloodstock industry to maximise the genetic potential of each Thoroughbred horse, through the development and provision of novel genetic tests founded in scientific excellence.
I am really excited about how this technology can help us in making the correct breeding and training decisions as we all pursue the ultimate goal of breeding and racing champions consistently.
