Go look at the weight turn around on the 2 Cherries run to Formation... The Cake is 6kg's for 3.50 lengths and with Strydom riding may just come out on top...:)

Well spotted - betting all wrong imo (tu)

Thoughts on the other PA races:

R3: Hello Polly likes this course, well drawn, Striker rides - hard to see her missing a place imo; Orlando Magic may prefer sprinting and has beaten HP before, so must have a chance - not sure abt Essenelles over the trip
R4: On the short side for Lucky Gambler imo - not much between her and Touch the Clouds on their runs to Lady Muffet, so clear to me where the value lies; Stylihs Bay does look held by LG, but may have improved; lurker imo is Wall Fly - impeccably bred - tries the turf again from pole position - only two lengths behind Stylish Bay (when possibly needing the run) in their runs behind Udumo.
R5: I can't split Gitiano, Fantastic Mr Fox and Yorker on ratings - Yorker may have more improvement to come; Just for Fun the roughie - ran on nicely in his debut over 1160 and gets 6 kg's from Yorker - has a nice draw and could be anything.
R6: On previous form Gemmayze Street looks very well in - tries the blinkers and if they suit, he rates the one to beat imo with Striker from a nice draw; 2nd choice for me is Brother in Arms (break a leg, oscar (tu)) from Song of Camden; Panjo has come down 7 points from his last run - this looks his best trip so he could also be competitve from a good draw
R7: Not sure what happened to Vulcan in his last run, but on his maiden win he must go close here if handling the turn - also has a good draw and Striker - forms a nice coupling in the P6 with Milkwood Manner; Dennis the Menace has won his only try over this trip, also has a good draw and must be a danger imo - Reign Victorious may prefer further and Mimeza has not done well over this course yet and has a wide draw to boot.
R8: Pinnacle Stakes, but extremely competitve with many unknowns - for the PA I like the chances of Salutation who is better off with Avenue of Gold and has fair course and distance form - stamina doubts imo about Classic Illusion, and she also looks a bit high in the ratings to me; Demanding Lady also tries the trip, but has run 3rd over 2000 once before, so should get the trip; Do You Remember is bred for this trip, but does seem to have something to find at the weights - load up in JP and P6.
R9: Cherry on the Top all the rage, but as gregbucks has noted, Cherry on the Cake is weighted to give her a lot of cheek - and I don't think it stops there - Magic Smoke has come down in MR and her last sand run was very encouraging - for a real looney for a place maybe have a look at Destiny's Lady

Enjoy (tu)

Hi all...here are my selections for turfies...break a leg and bring home the bacon.:B)-

Race 1 – Pythagoras with the normal improvement should be hard to beat ...was slightly fancied on debut and should run well....the first timer Nero does not have to be too good to run a place against this lot...likely improvers could be Land of meadows/Pardon/King of Kuwait and African flame who could place.
Race 2- tough to make a choice between a few here but Emperor Augustus and Without Malice look like they could fight it out, but I would not ignore the chances of Straw Market(ignore last run drawn wide)...Golden Chariot(looks ready to appreciate the step up in trip)
Race 3 – On form and speed alone Hello polly looks set for the number 1 box...dangers could be Spanish Lace who could improve on a decent enough debut...also watch out for Orlando Magic who might improve back down in trip.
Race 4 – Once again this could be repeat of the last race with Stryker and Sherman fighting it out for top honours riding Lucky Gambler and Stylish Bay respectively.....only likely other improvers for me has to be Touch the Clouds with blinkers strike and 4kg claimer and Irish Blast who might just appreciate the step up in trip.
Race 5 – Invierno’s last run was full of merit and with Strydom up looks likely to give Yorker much to think about.....P6 players can consider banking the scratching to get 3 horses ...but I am going to include 2 dark horses as well, that could just about spoil the party....no.8 Night Embers (good post maiden and taking a liking to the turfontein 1400m) and Just for Fun (good debut and could come on leaps and bounds...great value for me)
Race 6 – tough race to comment on so I am going to include the following in my P6/JP.....ie ...Levanto needed last after a break and could notch up 3rd career win...Stryker looks like the stable pace setter on Gemmayze street.....I can make an argument for all of the following but that will run into a couple of pages...lol...so I will just state their names....Lake Albert/Song of Camden/Chinese Gold/London Dipper/Impresa/Brother in arms/Mesmerize/Oymandias and Panjo
Race 7 – Memeza and Reign Victorious are holding form well and look likely winners but I will include Vulcan/Cohiba/Dennis the menace and a real outsider Lincoln Tan who could just surprise.
Race 8- another tough race to call....I will go with the following for perms ...Classic Illusion/Demanding lady/Avenue of gold/sacred temple/Elodie/Do you remember/Golden Dynasty
Race 9 – and to round it off I will go with Cherry on the top who will be a tough nut to crack...banker in P6 and PA

cheersB)
