SINGAPORE AWARD FOR BSA STAR
The former Bloodstock South Africa buy, Ato, was recently named Singapore’s Champion Four Year Old at a glittering function held last week.
Bred by Maine Chance Farms, Ato won both the G1 Krisflyer Sprint and G1 Patron’s Bowl last year – which gave him the nod as top 4yo for the racing season.
To date the 5yo entire has won nine times, for prize money in excess of $1.5 million.
Owned by Newbury Racing Stable, the Pat Shaw trained Ato was a R850 000 buy at the 2009 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale. By world leading sire Royal Academy, Ato is out of the Lyphard’s Wish mare, Another Legend.
