Scotia on the MET
12 years 6 months agoGood morning all, it's been a long time since my last post but life has been
hectic.
I hope you are all well and picking many winners and looking forward to the
Met.
The site continues on its upward path and over 5 million hits per month has
become the norm, so thanks again for the support and a few grey hairs (
where I have hair )
Must say when I have had a chance to have a punt it's been going rather well
with the horses and the AFCON soccer but a bottle of JWB and a social day at
the Met and I can be back to zero base in a few hours.
All our thoughts have been with Bob over the last few weeks and wishing him
strength and he is in our prayers over the next few difficult months, as they say "you
can't keep a good man down". Thanks for the wishes.
The Hangover Sports Bar has had a few Clan visitors and they have enjoyed the
racing experience in luxury with many Hollywood additions, we can't
guarantee winners but you will have a good day or night.
Mrs S will be at the Met with her camera
Mrs S and myself are looking forward to the Met weekend and hope to meet up
with some of the Clan during our flying visit, must say the Cape racing has
been fantastic over the last few weeks.
I will not attempt to tip the winner but my sound bet for the first 4 would
be Beach Beauty and I am not sure if Jackson will run a place but I have been
wrong before. I will be looking at other races for a winner as I certainly
don't have the "Igugu" feeling.
Just to extract a few highlights from the site
JB Met memories.
Met day fancies.
Met trainers comments.
I always like having a look at future betting opportunities and these days
we have so many options both racing and sports and have plenty comments on the
site:
The soccer/football and have to say that the results for the Afcon have been
decent, Ivory Coast 11/10 and SA you can get 10/1.
The EPL: Utd remain hot at 4/10 and City rivals at 3/1 and as far as the Cup
the Manchester giants are 3/1 joint.
Who would have thought that Swansea 1/5 would be meeting Bradford 9/2 in the
final of the Capital One Cup.
The great news is that Hearts 5/10 could have more silverware when they meet
St Mirren 13/10 in the League Cup final and Celtic should have no difficulty
lifting the Scottish Cup as the Rangers and Celtic have already been given
the leagues as far as the bookies are concerned.
Sprinter Sacre banker bet.
Cheltenham is just around the corner and sadly wont be there this year but
Simonsig looks good for the Arkle on opening day 12th March at evens,
Champion Hurdle looks competitive where Hurricane Fly tops the boards at
3/1, the bumper on the 13th and at this stage anyones guess, the best bet
should be Sprinter Sacre and needs only to turn up to take the Chase, World
Hurdle without Big Bucks can go to Oscar Whisky at 5/1 and the Cup is also
open where Bobs Worth is 4/1 fav
The Dubai World Cup could be very interesting and an very early indication
could be the Team Valor horse African Kingdom and Farhh topping the boards
around 7/1 and Igugu in the region of 12/1?
Bud Boy
Miss Diana and Bud Boy should both be back on the track in the next couple
of weeks and we will be looking for a win from our little princess and a big
improvement from poor Bud who finds himself a couple of stones lighter.
On a lighter note!

Good morning all and what a great day we had yesterday and the big day still ahead!
Our lunch and supper was superb and have to say the quality of food and service here is 5 star and another big thank you to Gill and her team from Gold Circle for treating us like kings, and on that subject had the pleasure of meeting Liesl King (that's the lovely lass that takes the magic photos)
Time to study and get some winners on what should be another great day
Photos to follow
