Phumelela assessed by local pundits. Worth a listen if only to see how the industry is viewed by non racing people, and in particular the kind of people you want to encourage into horse ownership.

I would disagree with many of their points.
They say things like Phum's ambition to grow sports betting is going to be thwarted by online operators like Betfair ( illegal) and voltbet ( seriously....... surely the threat is h.wood, betxchange or w.o.s)
I understood that Phum. own Bettingworld, who must be one of the biggest online sites and also have a massive land footprint.
They underestimate the role that selling S.A's racing feed and co-mingling can have on bottom line.
