a)In view of the performance from SLUMDOGMILLIONAIRE (B Lerena), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the colt on its return to the unsaddling enclosure.

b)Jockey K Neisius, the rider of ICE MACHINE, reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure.

c)Jockey R Fradd, the rider of MASTER PLAN, reported that this gelding cast the front shoes in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure.

d)POMODORO (P Strydom) was hanging out from about the 400 m.

e)At about the 50 m MARTIAL EAGLE (A Domeyer) shifted in slightly away from the crop and brushed HILL FIFTY FOUR (M J Byleveld).
