I can now understand why the world hates certain Americans so much

I wanted to post this under the Oscar Pistorius thread but out of respect for Barry and June I decided to open another thread.......

On ESPN.com there is a report about the shooting.....Within a few hours there are thousands of comments on the thread.....and they are HORRIBLE!!!!!

I can so understand now why people dislike the American folk so much. They are callas and cold and cruel...........Many of the jokes involve Reeva as well.......

Certain sectors of America...you are a bunch of half whit, no brain hicks who deserve to be wayyyy down at the bottom of the food chain!

Today I'm sad that I will someday be a citizen of that country.............But I will always be a South African first and foremost!!!!!

Apparently, family of Oswald wanted preferential treatment for him (private bath, etc), which the police decliined firmly.

The following concluding comment by the advocate Kenny Oldwadge, has left me cold (if correct) in The Times today:

'He is obviously mentally strong...obviously this is an emotional time but he will get over this...IT IS JUST A MURDER CHARGE HE IS FACING.' (my emphasis).

Shocking, outrageous.... at the least?

The comments being made on the various electronic platforms are a disgrace whichever country these people are from, for me it is not about Oscar, his legacy, true colours, jokes etc. but the fact that a LIFE has been taken and a daughter & child lost.

The internet/twitter etc. has given the morons in our society a platform to be heard which is scary because we all get to see the calibre of human trash we share our countries & this earth with......

Espn, this morning, had a show Outside The Lines on the Oscar shooting this morning. Espn highlighted Sa`s crime stats where only Columbia have more killings a day than us. The show was done 5 years ago, while Oscar was just becoming a star.

This morning on Sky News they had a guest who is in charge of a promotions company and all she spoke about was how much money he could still make if found not guilty.
