Shrek, imo it was a prep run.... She will come on leaps and bounds from that run but she isn't a super star.

Agreed but she will need to come on plenty of lengths as she was in receipt of 1,5kgs and got beat by a good 5 lengths.

... De Kocks horses often show up well early in the carnival and don't improve enough on WC night so maybe De Kock is trying a different strategy with her, building her up slowly towards World Cup Night...Just my opinion.

well done greg.against my better judgement i included igugu in my quickmix pot,but happy with 50% of that pot.very good ride by soumillon the horse was just not good enough on the day.

It was her first run in 13 months and she apparently broke the course record for the first 800 metres over the distance, according to Pat Cummings (if I'm following his tweets correctly). Went too fast, surely.
