Because we love your smile.
We promise to only send hate mails if you post poor tips.
Good tips we will take the credit for form well studied.
Personally if i get a winning tip from u i would be forced to buy u red roses and dinner.

Not sure but she is a MISSing IN ACTION... maybe the boss summoned her to his office at the smelly T....()

We all have an obvious love for the amazingly beautiful animal called a horse and as a owner myself it is a lot more to me than just punting. To be involved in something more than your day to day grind, social interaction between like minded people, and the common thread here is the horse. Punting is however part of that interaction/passion/interest in racing horses or being involved in the industry as a whole. ABC is a forum for these like minded people to air their views and obtain info, without stating the obvious, but to knock interested parties in obtaining this info from you I find strange. I would have thought it would be a pleasure to give this info without any self gratification. You receive that already just being involved in our industry ! I also get the feeling you are placing yourself above the industry having to deal with these requests from "like minded" parties. It is in my opinion a very childish / narrow minded attitude to have. But then you are intitled to have one !! Shame !! Long live transparency and interaction.

FFS you okes still don't get it........Delpech gets on a plane and some oke asks him if he has anything good today.......dude that is rude.....same as asking a CEO of a listed company if the company shares are worth buying.......connections from stables are simply protecting the interests of other share holders in the stable the owners......the last thing a stable patron wants to hear is that his R20 K a month induldence gives him the same graft as an ABC poster.......:

As a rule i have never critisised anyone on this forum since day 1.Today i am very tempted...after reading page 1 of this thread i would however like to say that i agree with Soodum 100%
PS my best tips is to follow forumites such as Bayern who i rate as the no 1 "tipster" and of course to ignore everything gregbucks tips:D

the more transparency, the less results seem to be "bought" or something similar.

transparency is the best for the sport, even if trainers have to live with some angry people, because their horses are not always running like in training. but u never get a good thing without a bad. in the end transparency is worth it.

Funnily enough,I agree with you Muhti.............and,over the years,I have also found that useful info is rare ,even when well intended.
The issue here is what state of mind is required to start a thread like this(women who want a return for favours.....google it sweetie.........LOL)
I doubt the stable is proud of Ruby's contributions

i dont know who you are or what stable you represent. either way you conduct yourself from a position of power (typical) you think that only jockeys can read races and trainers can train horses. The truth is Pirates is correct , asking you for a winner is vastly different than asking you if a horse ate up.

The thing is you and your peers think that you are infact ENTITLED to have the knowledge. It never crosses your mind to be proactive and walk up to the teletrack person on the course and say


"oh by the way, the even money fav in the 4th has not eaten for 2 days and missed 5 pieces of work"

you see it as YOUR devine right to keep this to yourself, the shams come on here and tell it like it is. It does not always pan out but with transparency it builds credibility.

I think there has been only 1 or 2 aresholes having a go at the shams, they have fallen away now.

now for someone walking up to you and asking for a tip/graft/punt call it what you want.

Is it really that tough to answer them? or to sms them? and what is to say that they dont support your stable?

are you really telling me that if you tip someone 10 winners in a row and then tell them NO MORE unless you support my stable with a horse/share they will decline (like drug addicts they will not want to stop your supply)

BUT the reality of it is you problably as bad a tipster/form studier/work rider as your attitude suggests. so the avoidance of sms contact or personal contact is probably to avoid disclosing how clueless you are.

To be fair the "What do I get out of it" statement does not refer to any monetary gain but more to the sling off's when horses don't run as expected, i think this thread was borne from frustration of continued PM's both here and on Face Book,there is no doubt in my mind that no malice was intended with her message and the fact that she is an asset to the Alexander yard can not be questioned.

Rubyclipper, why on earth did you start this thread ? no one is forcing you to give tips.. if you want to sit on the " FENCE " you can tell the well being of a certain horse in your yard, should you choose to.

what do you want to get out of giving " your stables best bet of the day " ? rather shut up, that way you won't give good or bad tips.

should you like to give FREE info on this site as the SHAMS do, so be it....................... BUT WHAT YOU ( WANT / EXPECT ) TO GET OUT OF IT I DON'T KNOW !

perhaps if you gave 4 winning tips in a row, ABC clanners would take notice of your stable.
