easy please get your statistics correct... If cops have a 60% chance of getting shot everyday, they would be getting shot every second day and they would not be able to survive, at best, a month on duty... That is not the case!!! - Would you please do us the favour of finding out what those stats are???

What a load of crap Titch, how can u condone someone getting dragged behind a Polce vehicle ffs? They are there to uphold the Law not break it. I hate Taxi Drivers as much as the next guy but this is murder we are talking about. If they have to use force ok baton the guy, taser him or pepper spray him. It is Barbaric actions of savages to drag a person behind a vehicle, if it was done to a dog there would be total outrage

Negligent police management, poor training, disrespect for law and order, criminal members within police ranks and blatant disregard for internal disciplinary procedures are the chief causes behind the scourge of police brutality gripping South Africa.
4 cops can't put a +/- 60kg guy in a back of the van ???

TO TITCH
I didn't expect an old geezer like you to run with Umlilo's take on this incident. You want to be politically correct, that's fine, for the police to be more stern on immigrants than on local people, is somewhat accepted, it is like that all over the world, it is like playing away from home, but to minimize the police brutality and inhumane conduct in this instance is way out of line. You out of line sunshine... I expect you to review this case and give us your level headed take on this case for the respect that you have earned on this site!!!

@Bashful:
'I didn't expect an old geezer like you to run with Umlilo's take on this incident. '
I strongly submit that this comment is uncalled for; it has no basis for justification. The inference (parallel) means that I have / deserve no respect?
Your earlier reference to 'white policeman' is totally out of order and underlines your own innate racism in context.
Also, if you examine my posts you will realise that I amo nowhere near what you consider / think of me. Finally, I might have much more white blood than you..... and possibly a good shade lighter too!
I consider myself a fellow human being first.... before being compartmentalised!

I CAN REMEMBER VIVIDLY THE FRONT PAGES OF NEWSPAPERS WHEN THREE "WHITE" COPS SET THE DOGS ON A ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT FROM MOZAMBIQUE IN A REMOTE PLACE AWAY FROM THE PUBLIC AND RIGHTFULLY SO.
WHY DO NEWSPAPERS NOT GIVE THE SAME EXPOSURE TO THIS CASE.
WHAT MAKES HEADLINES THIS MORNING????
"POWER HIKES" AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE "LABELS ON BILTONG PACKAGES".
