Betting World complaint

Do I have a case with the below scenario?

I submitted a bet on Magic Smoke just before the off of Vaal race 2 yesterday. The circle showing the bet was being processed then began going round and round and was still going round as the last horses were being loaded. I was then in two minds about whether to go and have the bet on another one of my betting sites as I felt I wasn't going to get on in time, but decided not to as I didn't want to risk being in for double.

The circle carried on going round and round after they had jumped and only stopped just before the end of the race. I believed I was not on and this was confirmed for me when my balance remained unchanged after the circle had disappeared. Furthermore I received no betting slip and received no email confirmation of the bet which I have received for every other bet I have taken with Betting World.

Then, lo and behold, having spent the whole race hoping the horse would lose, my balance is deducted the amount about a minute or so after the race!

I have spoken to support staff and they began by blaming lag on my side.

However, that doesn't explain why this doesn't ever happen on any of my betting sites, including this one, and more importantly doesn't explaing why I received no betting slip and no email confirmation of the bet.

Furthermore, when I had my next bet about 5 hours later I noticed the Magic Smoke bet was still sitting there waiting to be submitted or deleted and I had to delete it in order not to submit it again.

The support staff eventually reckoned it was a management level problem but so far no response from management despite plenty of phone calls and a couple of emails.

My opinion is that you do not have a case... the fact that they received the bet with the correct amount means you placed the bet, otherwise they would not have known...right? So the transmit leg worked.... the receive leg of the transaction was slow or dropped The best you can look for is the date and time stamp on their bet reference... andif it is after the race start time you may have an argument.

Ok, so that means a bet stands without confirmation. Great. Or perhaps they could send me the email confirmation of the bet and the betting slip, although its now about a day since the bet and counting.

That's technology though ... not neccessarily a fault at BW {shrug} ..could easily have been the other way round.

Thanks, Madji. It took you a few seconds to compile this response and post it, I wonder how long it will take Betting World management.

now THAT is a different kettle of fish !!... now early before technology strikes... have a smalleachway on Sporting Rooney at a very attractive 14/1.

This is not explained under the betting rules.

If theres a submit(transmit) isnt there a confirmation before final receipt?
If a punter submits a bet, surely it as to be confirmed(reply) and then accepted?

Surely,if a punter experiences lagging after 1st submit and the race has started, the bet should be unsuccessful?

If theres lagging on the confirmation bit, could be different. Here i believe the bet can be concluded.

Unfortunately there isn't a confirmation phase from the punter's side, only a submit and then the site sends one a betting slip and an email confirmation of the bet (both of which in this case I am yet to receive).

The whole problem lies in the fact that since they changed the website, it is an absolute joke, It is almost always slow and plain and simple not user friendly. Try get hold of managers in the organisation....... no chance! Write them letters...... you get no response!
