a luta continua

AS many will remember this was the rallying cry of Frelimo and translates roughly as "the struggle goes on".
In SA we see to have adapted it to "a looter continua" judging by the incessant flow of stories about waste or misuse of public and taxpayer money.

Asked whether Mokonyane felt it was reasonable to expect taxpayers to pay so much on the upkeep of her home, Mohatle said it was a private matter. ...
It's not a private matter, you wasting our taxi's ... for fark sakes when will the voter see what these people are doing!!!!

I am not sure about this comment?
The ANC and the Tote are coupled on the tote as far as singing the praises?
However we all have our views

@ avanza --- '' a lot of this forum were singing the ANC's praises not so long ago '' I very much doubt that . Perhaps you could highlight a few examples ? Just out of curiosity.

What do you want the voters to do, all politicians are corrupt/underhanded (generalisation I know). You think if Zille was running the show there'd be no corruption in the country? The cops would all magically be goody two shoes? The tender system would not get abused? There'd be no corruption in the private sector? Tax evasion and backscaratching would magically dissapear.Bwahahahaha. Voters vote for the candidate they think will best represent their interest. When DA say affirmative action must be given a boot you would have to be dumb black to still vote for them. So from voters perspective I guess its a case of I'd rather vote for the useless one than the one who threatening to take even the little breadcrumbs I have away.
Truth is very seldomly are govts well run to the benefit of ALL citizens , even first world countries are struggling with issues you would think they would have sorted out a long time ago. At least in South Africa we have the tools (public protector, constitution etc) to ensure such corruption is frequently exposed because you know damn well in the "previous dispensation" you seldom got to hear about this not because it didnt happen but because asking questions would have cost you your life.

I actually don't give a monkey's what any voters do or don't do.That is their right, and beyond my control. A comment was posted however, quote, '' a lot of this forum were singing the ANC 's praises not so long ago '' and finding this comment bizarre to say the least, especially concerning this forum, I asked for examples. Whether there would be the same level of corruption, violent crime, incompetency, greed, maladministration etc, under any other govt is irrelevant to my original request, which simply asks for some examples.
