SpookE I know you and yes you are probably right in your case and others in similar positions it is probably better to be anonymous . But I think Pirates does have a point some people do become personal at times and that's uncalled for. As for me the only thing I've abused him about is that he doesn't often by a pot for visitors.:)o

Umlilo/Mr H I said "I" would not worry. I dont like people firing off missiles at me from behind a bank or shelter. Stand up and say what you think is wrong to me and I can talk back to you personally. When some idiot phoned Mike De Kock and said I was slinging off about him on ABC, he knew where to come and talk to. We sorted it out when he realised that that person was lying to him but it was sorted out and I was not hiding behind a pseudonym. That is why so many racing people will not come on and participate. They get shot down and have snide remarks made at them, their horses,their training etc by faceless people. GC and Phumelela are getting shot and dont know who from most of the time.

Imo there are two general points to consider here; firstly if you feel you have to have a go at someone, have the decency to make sure that the person you are having a go at, knows who you are; secondly I agree with mr H that for P (or any other company) to ignore comments (even rude ones) from customers (whether anonymous or not), is plainly just shooting oneself in the foot.

Firstly, if Pirates or pretty much anyone else wants to know who I am then you only have to PM me, but, be warned, I am just another Mr Nobody

ABC is certainly not free of the "forum" spoilers, those who seem to get pleasure from trying to create displeasure, discomfort or whatever for others by being deliberately provocative, rude and/or offensive. I do not want to give these few @rseholes the opportunity to look into something of my personal life etc, should they be that sad and I suspect one or two could well be. I have nothing to hide really but I don't want them anywhere near my personal info. That is why I prefer to post under a pseudonym. ABC (as in Dave and Bob) can have my details any time but all members... not a chance.

Craig... if someone wants to do bad by you and remain anonymous, they will find a way.

Does it really matter that a trainer, jockey or owner posts anonamously that his horse is in good shape or not? We as punters form our own opinion on who we think will win and bring us money. Nobody can be blamed, except the punter. Accept that and get on with life. Why then this big issue??? Or am I oversimplifying things?

Some of the members have met me and others are in constant contact with me, The Madji, Agra etc... I have previously given Pirates my name in open forum & he knows who i am, we have raced to gether in the same stable. I also owned Zeeno who won the 2006 Gold Medallion.

Unfortunately this information is permanently available on the internet from that point on & i certainly do not have horse racing as a career, just a hobby. If anyone wants to know who i am then PM me by all means, i do not need anyone to google my name & a whole bunch of comments from a social forum appears, i have a professional life outside of my hobby.

Englander I think we will call those people Geldings from now on as they "have no balls"! If you are going to say something nasty then dont be a gelding.

Finally i talk to craig eudey. If i have an opinion and its ludicrous and incorrect. Just because i say it does not make it fact. The good folk of abc should be trusted to sift through the bollocks and formulate their own view.

So i see no issue with anonymous posters
