racing is unbelievable down under its the same type of vibe we had in the glory days of the 70s and 80s ...

JLC, what do you expect? Everywhere you go in life there are signs saying you enter at your own risk. Why should GC be liable because someone is stupid enough to let your child into the ring with highly strung racehorses unsupervised? If I had a kid I would not let his hand go from when I entered until we walked out. Anyone who knows anything about horses will agree. I cringe when I see some of the owners letting their kids loose in there.

Ok,what happens if an owner or trainer is kicked....still no liability?

nothing to do with this post....you've just been quiet all of a sudden.

WE I actually saw an owner kicked at Scottsville. She was so busy talking she walked right into the back of a filly. Luckily for her she was so close that when the filly kicked she was picked up by the fillies hocks and thrown about 5m into a bush. If she had been connected by the fillies foot with a shoe on I would hate to know what would have happened.She was extremely lucky but compltely her own fault. Anyway off to Cape Town now for the sale so wont be communicating on ABC unless Hibs can send my password to my cell phone? Be nice to GC while I am away please!

I have read this thread with amazement, especially the responses of Mr Eudey. But then again I am not surprised, given that MR E was the main supporter in quest to refuse the cape based trainers stables in Kzn.
Mr Eudey, if your kid is sick, u dont have to be doctor to diagnose that, likewise, one does not have to be a vet to diagnose a distressed horse. In my mind, when one enters clairwood park, u entering GC premises, hence one has the right to vent their fustration at GC, should any unhappiness arise. You trying to find excuses or justify any of the shortcomings that was exposed at clairwood is totally unprofessional and uncalled for. Had that been your horse, I am sure, you would have been silent to be in the good books with GC, or voiced your dissatisfaction.
But then again, who am I to talk, I know nothing, cos I aint a trainer.!!
