Did the Stipes rule that the Burlaine Forest did not cause interference to The Shark or that he did cause interference but he still would have beaten the Shark regardless of the interference?

Mr McGrath spoke to me straight after the result of the objection, and said to me: He can't believe the outcome of the result

Cheers Titch I was at a Funeral yesterday and missed the race, I blanketed Yvette's coupling in the pick 6 but out lost it in the 1st leg, despite having 14 horses, lost the Jackpot in last leg as I only put in 1 and 9 leaving out the 2 after watching that, it really is a travesty of justice and Racing could not be any worse, if there were NO STIPES

It is the rule that is wrong for SA conditions..........the present rule is fairest for win bets ......the best horse keeps the race!
(suitable for the UK??)

However,to follow this rule here, where millions are invested in PA's,swingers, trifectas and quartets,is wrong ............a missed third can cost me thousands of rand and there is no recourse if my horse couldn't have beaten the offender..Fark the offender ..........I want my place to be protected.

As I have been saying for years ,the rule makers are not considering the issues through and are clueless to punting requirements.

@Mr H , we don't get a version , just whether upheld or overruled ad after all parties have their say then we all leave and stipes deliberate.

which is wrong - they should make their ruling and read it out on Teletrack straight after the Race or show the replay and explain the ruling like they have done in the past.

Only one K.I.S.S rule should be applied.... first one to cause interference... placed last irrespective of where you finish. Finis en klaar !!

I didnt see this race so I'm just talking generally. Why doesnt it sound fair to award a dead heat in uncertain circumstances of the objection?

This is the closing stages which looks bad enough but will try post the last 300m which will highlight just how bad it really was..

The objection was overruled as it was felt that we were not making up ground but The Shark's 400m to finish time is faster than the winner even with the horse being pulled out !!

I have seen too many amazing things happen in the closing stages of races to believe that the stipes can tell what would happen "but for the interference"

(eg.if DG's boy had taken up the running of Antartic Call on Saturday, after going past, any objection would have been definitely overruled on the basis that DG's Boy appeared to have secured the win ..........and we now know what really happened!)
