UAE Champion Trainer

Another history making year for a South African trainer in UAE

Ernst Oertel has made history in the UAE as being the 1st trainer based in Abu Dhabi to win the UAE Trainers Championship.
Dubai based trainers have had a stranglehold on the title.

1 Ernst Oertel 34 26 26 22 22 231 2,524,232
2 Musabah Al Muhairi 33 24 18 23 20 238 3,499,022
3 Ali Rashid Al Raihe 31 34 41 34 41 397 3,722,680
4 Satish Seemar 31 18 18 24 24 278 3,587,740
5 Saeed bin Suroor 20 18 13 8 8 125 10,178,070

I believe it is also the most winners his stable, Al Asayl, have had in a season and they have runners in 3 races at DWC 2013, with the Favourite in the Arabian race.

Confirmed in The National newspaper...
Ernst will have 5 DWC runners over 4 races and fancies Ganas in the Al Quoz Sprint along with his Arabian coupling in Kahayla Classic

A case of good horses make better trainers.....when he was here he had less than mediocre horses..... I wish Ernst well as he can do as well as any with the right stock

Brilliant, a great achievement and another S.A. trainer to add to MR De Kock's huge popularity and respect in the Emirates.(tu)

Hong Kong yesterday - six of the ten races won by SA jockeys: four by the Durban Demon, Whyte, and one apiece by Weichong Mawing and Greg Cheyne (whom the Aussie commentators still call CHeen).
