He is a critical condition in hospital after been assaulted in Christchurch. He was hit from behind and has severe life threatening head injuries.

Wasn't he also involved in boxing, like Paul Collingwood? I think he challenged him to a match last year some time.

Terrible, seems like alcohol plays a major part in such events, just like the poor guy that was murdered by a bunch of pissed idiots after the sharks game last saturday....
