so i here a funny story about the future of this track. aparantly anglo america wants to mine the coal here because the power station down the road is no going to be moth ball for another ten year as was the plans. the power station need coal to continue and the current source of coal is get depleted in next few years. now the areas around the vaal property have plenty coal and they want to move the vaal else where and mine so the power station is sort out. . i am tell by two vaal trainer that meeting about close down are all ready been held and the stories is anglo american want to give other ground near krugersdorp. anglo will pay for the costs of move and building facility at the new ground. if this happen they talk about the next 5 - 7 years. the question i ask is why do we here nothing from phumelela about this?

Judging by FH's info it could indeed be Anglo? Why else would they be able to get the Vaal to move? I may be wrong though

3: tapeta
4: state of the art stables
5: Hotel/Casino
6: Racing 5 days a week
7: huge stakes

My least favourite punting region, but only because the trainers are very inconsistent (:P)
