Winning Ways

Gavin I am sure u are a good man with good intention but the forum has never been a place for sissies and when anyone posts here it's read by many so select your words carefully
I have no hassles with winning ways and plenty time for the hosts and have good contact with James, I did take offense to the " we should tidy up our act comment" as the thread in question also had the owners and stables view posted!
I have seen the original well worded email from Titch and the content was bulldozed IMO
As mentioned on numerous occasions the " Clan " is no secret club with hidden agendas it's an open forum for posters to voice an opinion with as little censorship as possible in addition I feel we supply a good service to racing and sport as far as sharing as much free information as possible to the visitors silent and vocal

The punters obviously !! So many people in Racing actually think that punters (this is a punting site last time I checked) are just a necessary evil who actually mean nothing to the Game. Without our Mug money what would you be Racing for? Leaves? Punters may not complain or moan because they know nothing - Well one day they might just get a little smart and toss the idea of spending their loot and time in an Industry that regards them as uneducated idiots that cannot comment on anything in racing because they have never ridden, trained or owned a horse. I'm allowed to comment on a Murder or act of terror even though I've done neither but just let me venture a comment that does not polish the ego of a Racing personality and I'm deemed moronic and bitter. I am neither.

He is surely referring to certain parties on this site who thrive on negativity......he is not a vindictive person.....I think frustration on the day caught him offside.As they say in SA....GIVA HIM ANOTHA CHANCE!!!!!!!

Yoh! Talk about blown out of proportion.... We all get that difference in opinions makes us individuals but be wary of damaging critisism.... Not everyone like what we as individuals say but lets not further give the abc that bad stigma we have all heard of. -D

Guys I have just read this post . It is amazing that our comments should have stirred up this.let me set the record straight.
1. We go through all the emails sent and comment our opinions on ALL of them, and they are our opinions. They might upset certain people but we try to be factual and informative.
2. We know that we cannot please everybody,and we don't try to!!
3. There are some very informed people on this site and a minority of mud slingers.As in all discussions people will have different views and that's what makes this ABC forum fascinating.
Winning ways is our hard work and we are responsible for all the content. It is difficult to produce and then sit in front of the cameras and do a good show that will be enjoyed by the fans that sit and take the time to watch. Laff and I are mindful of this.
It is worth knowing that we pay Telly Track for the slot on the Channel and our sponsors pay us so it is imperative we look after them.
Thanks to Dave and Hibs for this terrific forum,imagine life without it.

Well said James it was after all maybe put across in the wrong way and the same probably applies to Gav V. In the meantime practice a lot I hear there could be an ex jock on the way to take your cash!

My point in the email was that we need to be as vocal about the positives in racing as some are when highlighting negatives, a point that i believe was properly dealt with and put across on the show :S

Titch I don't think your E Mail was the issue really just the words ( They need to clean up their act ) in the comment was what has caused the reaction.

you pay tellytrack for the best local show in racing?
