I wouldnt doubt it...as per the jock/trainer/and others involved in the stable....but yes its early days.Lets see what happens in JHB in 2 weeks .

Red Ray time yday 72.25...Blueridge Mountain 71.44....

Variety Club was a good but not brilliant 2yo. He really came into his own as a 3yo with his superb win in the Cape Guineas and subsequent runs. Red Ray is a brilliant 2yo and it is therefor fair to say that at this stage of his career he is better than VC. Whether he will develop into as good an older horse, no one knows yet. Let's enjoy him while he remains here. If all goes well he should have no trouble winning the Nursery at Turfies.

The joburg boys might beg to differ,besides that he might run a flat race,travelling from cpt to jhb is going to hard,without sufficient time to get used to the conditions of the highveld

seemingly they Galloped together BM was allowed to jog on full tilt and RR caught,laughed, and went 20 L ahead.

The evidence for me is always on the track. VC has proven his ability, whilst Red Ray looks special its always easy to get carried away.

Actually is more like the advice, information ot whatever is only as good as the source ( ... sort of a butcher telling you how to bake a cake is sort of dubious advice ....
