Why has everything become so difficult???

in former times, one had just to punt all gavin-smiths-outsiders and at least one won and u could take home a good cheque...
nowadays u cannot rely not on the trainers comments not on reverse psychology. even zackey did not fool us for long long time.
or to go back even further: the woodruff/khan-combination? o how easy was this!!!

another goodby? the answer, my friend, is punting "In the Wind", a 5-year-old mare by ...

Adapt and change!!!!!Stop looking for reasons things are so 'difficult' and start looking for solutions for the 'problems'

Heinrich , I tend to agree with Saldiani.

What has happened to form study....racing today makes a mockery of form study.

You state, find a solution, some suggestions as to how to find a solution would help?

There are too many variables in this game, that has affected form study.

Think insider trading, punishable as a criminal offense...there are too many loopholes, and lack of transparency, that leaves the punter defenceless, in racing where the money of gullible punters hoping to get lucky, is used to boost betting pools, for a handful of insiders to benefit.

Unless you are in the know, don't try and defend a crooked game.

IMVHO that is just absolute bullocks... form study has never showed such rewards as today and almost every can be deciphered and once result race finished conclusion reached that that was a fair result.... perhaps you should reassess your definition of "form study" ?

Punters have never had so much info (those online that is) and with TV technology and Drug testing racing is straighter now than it ever was

Observer....

1- i am NOT in the know.Been studying racing for several years now and daily i learn something new.My P6 SR has climbed from 23% a month to between 45-66% the last couple of years.WHY?simply becoz i go out searching....SEARCH FOR REASONS WHY CERTAIN HORSES WINS CERTAIN RACES!

2- Racing today is the same is was 5 or 6yrs ago(or thats my believe)Only thing that changes are the horses names!

3- RACING/PUNTING is EASY...YES EASY!But only if you take it seriously enough.Have the determination and drive thats needed to succeed!Only by being PERSISTENT and CONSISTENT can you really make it!!!!!

P.s guys like MDK,WOODRUFF,FERRARIS,TARRY,SNAITH,ect do the SAME thing year in and year out to get certain results....follow the same course...So shouldnt you as punters try to establish what that is and use it to ur advantage????

Heinrich,

I agree with you in what you saying...You make sense.

I would like your views on this

A few weeks ago, Stryker rode a horse Henry Higgins. There would have been a sizeabe P6 payout had he won. However if you watch the replay of the race, he moved up from a bad draw looking like he had the rAce at his mercy, only to finish second.

P6 payout resulted in a carryover, to be carried over to a feature race meeting.

Next time out Stryker wins on the same horse.

Third time out ????

Loopy Logic, you have your views, I have mine. Would be interesting to understand your form study for race 8. And your analysis of the results, with the quartet paying R135k.

Mr Hawaii , there is a very small percentage of punters that have access to online info. Just step into the crummy joints around the country, and I have been into a few. The class of punters are low life's, no offencece meant, to the punters , but this is all the racing authorities have to offer to those who use their bread and butter money, together with the advertisement : Make millions before breakfast.

To start of with Henry Higgins had a BAD draw.Secondly he runs much better on sand...and thirdly...to me the distance is a stretch far.DGs BOY was the obvious winner in that race and was my banker in all bets...Like i said previously....look for reason why horses win or lose a race...will help you in the future

observer i have been punting for over 35 years- In those early days very few people used the Computaform so their info was limited- Only big races were broadcast on TV. The majority of punters listened to the Radio for results - some even waited to read the newspapers the next day to see results. What do you actually want to happen to change racing so that it will be "clean" ? I need to ask why you continue to punt if Racing is only for insiders?
