Accomodation Pietermaritzburg

Wonder if any of the clan can advice me on reasonable accomodation in the Maritzburg area my son is coming to play rugby there next week at the Wildeklawer maritzburg college tournament . and am looking for a BB or something where I can go to at night have a couple of beers and back to the rugby next day 3 day

Have tried them Ascot in old stables converted looks fantastic, duvet and crumpets fully booked, acacia lodge also fully booked,
