I am hoping as I backed them to go down. My worry against City is that they would probably have secured 2nd spot by then and have nothing to play for.

The final day could be very interesting
Spurs play Sunderland
Newcastle play Arsenal
two teams fighting to stay up and two teams fighting for the Champions League
If Wigan lose tonight then it looks like they will be down as they play Arsenal away next Tuesday

But they are also at home to Villa on the final day. Wigan need at least 4 points from their remaining 3 games but will then leave their fate in the hands of others. A Wigan win tonight will make it very interesting.

Norwich - WBA on Sun is huge imo. One would have to assume, although taking nothing for granted, Norwich will struggle to get anything in the last game of the season. If Wigan win tonight, which I also think they will, then Norwich must beat WBA imo. If both those sides win then Sunderland may be the ones to go but their game with Soton on Sunday is also huge.
The truth is though these are all such nervy affairs, some rise to the occasion and some fail to raise even a whimper. But, in trying to predict games every week we all know we get it wrong as much we get it right so who knows! lol
And yes Bob, Wigan would go above Newcastle and Norwich and behind Sunderland but all four would be level on points. Sunderland's goal difference is about 10 better than the other three with only a goal or two separating the other three.
Current standings and final opponents...
11 Stoke 36 -10 41 (Spurs home, Southampton away)
12 Fulham 36 -11 40 (Liverpool home, Swansea away)
13 Aston Villa 36 -21 40 (Chelsea home, Wigan away)
14 Southampton 36 -11 39 (Sunderland away, Stoke home)
15 Sunderland 36 -12 38 (Southampton home, Spurs away)
16 Norwich 36 -22 38 (WBA home, Man C away)
17 Newcastle 36 -23 38 (QPR away, Arsenal home)
18 Wigan 35 -22 35 (Swansea home, Arsenal away, A Villa home)
19 Reading 36 -26 28
20 QPR 36 -28 25

Newcastle have won 2x in the past 3 years in London. So its going to be a tough ask against QPR
Sunderland and Southampton my both just settle for a draw
Fulhams form has dropped since they reached 40 points. No wins in 5
Norwich could be in big trouble if they dont get anything from the WBA match
Stoke should be ok as their goal difference is great and Spurs dont often win in the Potteries

Also if Chelski win tonight they are guaranteed a Champions League spot which might leave them less focused against Villa on Sat which may be all Villa need to secure three points, if they do they will be safe which might in turn leave them less focused against Wigan in the final game which may be all Wigan need to secure three points... the possibilities are endless lol

Newcastle's French revolution does not look like it has gots the guts for a good old fashioned relegation scrap, especially after Pardew has sucked the confidence out of some decent players. Another nightmare on the cards.
