Aldo Domeyer is the Hollywood Star of the Week

May i ask how this is selected.

Seems pointless being star of the week for the J and B win 3 months ago.

If for his Juvenile winners or such in the last week makes more sense.

Star of the Week is the name of the column, playing on the star of the Hollywood logo, and that it is published on a weekly basis.

It is sometimes selected on the fact they might have a runner (trainer/owner) or riding a horse (jockey) in an upcoming major race, or other times, it's just because they have been selected by the Winning Form team.

Aldo is riding PLACIDO in this Sunday’s Grade 3 East Cape Derby, and he also gives comments on his rides at Fairview on Friday.

Although it might not be relevant to upcoming rides or races, it still gives an insight into our South African racing personalities, and gives a better idea of who we follow on a daily basis. A lot more coverage than what they would normally get by any other racing publication.

Not a bad idea - but imo the name 'Star of the Week' slightly misleading :S

Well for me a 'star of the week' would be someone that achieved something spectacular in that week, but then I suppose one can also look at it as the 'featured personality of the week' (tu)

Guess we could also have a " disastar" of the week where the biggest mistake, poor ride , worst comment etc was make?

Just a thought ? sure the Liverpool lad would have had first bite .
