SUBJECT: Phumelela staff announcement
DATE: Wednesday 15 May 2013
RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited

The decision by Media and Marketing Executive Ken Rutherford to resign from
Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Ltd has resulted in a management restructure.
Rutherford has been responsible for Publishing, Communications, Television
Media, Marketing and Public Relations. Following discussion with the CEO of
Gold Circle, Michel Nairac, members of the Group's Remuneration Committee
and bearing in mind the additional workload that will emanate from
Phumelela’s management of the Western Cape, a decision has been taken by
Group CEO Rian du Plessis to separate Rutherford’s portfolio into three
focused departments – Publishing and Betting Promotion, Television Media
and Marketing (including Public Relations).
Publishing and Betting Promotions will continue to be headed by Robert
Garner, who will in future report to Sports Betting Director Vee Moodley.
Television Media's Nico Kritsiotis (Executive Presenter), Dieter Wahlberg
(Outside Broadcasting and Racing International), Rod McCurdy
(Administration Manager) and Adele Valentine (Studio Manager) will in
future report to Director of International Operations John Stuart.
Clyde Basel, executive in charge of Sales and The Raceday Experience will
assume the additional responsibility for Marketing, including Public
Relations.
“I would like to take this opportunity to again thank Ken for his hard work
and valued contribution to our team and especially for his diligent support
in procuring a smooth handover of his responsibilities to Vee, John and
Clyde,’’ said Du Plessis.
“We continue to work together as a team to enable Phumelela and Gold Circle
– and Kenilworth Racing in the future – to achieve new heights!”

Wow.........same people ............a little musical chairs......................change the title and.................. "voilah"

There are a few functions, now in the charge of people who have failed in the past ,doing the same thing???

Sorry I can find nothing new or different (and therefore positive) in this announcement.............what's changed???

Also, lets be fair to Ken Rutherford.............this forum is representative of the customer base he served.............I invite anybody to list his achievements, from the customer point of view,so we can be aware of how much we are going to miss him!
