It's taken till now for me to recover after that lot ... sjoe!! ... who would have thought it was even possible for SA to win off such a modest batting score?!! Really it only needed one single Pakistani batsman to get the bit between his teeth and take off and the Proteas would have been turned into floor rags and used to wipe up the bar-room floor.

But congrats to young AB and his boyjies ... without their big-name batsmen or bowlers ... Chokers? Never. They may lose some but they will fight to the end.

What I like is they seem to be peaking at the right time (though yesterday was a li'l bit squeaky, urk!). The warm-up against Pakistan ... big loss. The game against India ... narrow loss. The game against Pakistan ... decent win. Let's cross thumbs and hold fingers they go on from here, and continue winning right to the end of the competition.

Very disciplined performance - bowlers performed admirably defending a (I thought) slightly below par score set up by Amla looked a class above the rest. (tu)

Now onwards to Cardiff - if Steyn is ready, Phangiso probably the one to miss out ?

Watching Pakistan in the 2 group games this must really be one of their worst sides they had had for a long time. They hold their own in the bowling department but have very little depth in their batting and if the lose a few quick wickets they are in deep trouble. The SA vs WI clash could be very interesting because if India win today it will effectively be a QF.
