Champions Trophy

12 years 1 week ago
#354790
Starts on June 6th, but with all the usual shit British summer weather I doubt if there will be any match that will be rain free.

Betting

England 4/1
South Africa 7/2
India 5/1
Australia 5/1
Pakistan 6/1
Sri Lanka 7/1
West Indies 8/1
New Zealand 14/1

The West Indies have a very good all round side. Lots of batsman who bowl as well. Predicting Marlon Samuals to be the player of the series.

Funny how they manage to finish most matches in the county championship every year,
weather can't be that bad ...lol

You and Shrek are both on West Indies...B)

they play county matches till 10 at night (no floodlights required this time of they year till end of July when as you know the sun goes down well after 10) but in the Champions Trophy there is a time limit and they wont go over it because overs will be reduced. I see Smith and Kallis wont be playing so SA chances must be slim

Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Kieren Pollard and Marlon Samuals are all match winners on their own. I am expecting them to win the cup just like they did the last time the Champions Cup was played in the UK.

CnC Iike Greg said I advised him to take the 9/1 on the Windies last week. Even over the 50 over format they have a strong team with plenty of potential match winners. Can't get too hurt at 9/1. (tu)

I cant see any other team that will beat them on their day. If Gayle fires and bats the first 10 overs then the match could at that early stage be taken away from the opposition. First time that you and I agree on the same sports result Shrek. Things can only get better :)-D

i think south africa has a good chance of winning because we hv a decent bowling attack.we hv the ability to bowl teams out in the english conditions and we also hv match winning batsman in ab,amla, miller etc.all in all if we pick the right team and we play to the best of our ability then we can win this trophy.

Gayle bats the first 10 overs like he did in that one IPL game then they make 500 runs in 50 overs...:D
