If SA are adopting the “format specialist” thinking when selecting squads for tests,one dayers and t20 then surely alviro petersen doesnt constitute a worthy or justified selection for the champions trophy...
Dnt get me wrong his test stats are decent however his record in the shorter formats of the game are far from spectacular and i would go on to say its average.
Saying that petersen in for smith is a like for like replacement is a joke...

All said and done this is one time where i wouldnt mind eaten my words.

Imo - squad missing a few key players, impact players that win you games,
Albie morkel, chris morris, johan botha, richard levi, de lange
All worthy enough players to be included.
Dale steyn is an excellent player - Best in the world,
But there's only so much the lad can do...
With players such as kleinveld, tsotsobe and mclaren,
looks like another tournament of disapointment is on the cards,
surely hope not.
