Weekend Meetings Pricing -up

As far as i can remember, the likes of Hollywood, Bettingworld etc. like to market themselves as having "early" betting out for punters. HW usually the morning before the market, and BW the afternoon before the market. (Generally speaking).

However, i phoned the head offices of both BW and HW this week to inquire about when pricing was to be expected to be put up, for races other than the features. The response i got from both was: "Usually we have betting out the day before, but this time unfortunately we are waiting for the market to price up first before we do."

Could Dev maybe comment on why this was for HW's side? And any others that can comment from BW's side as well?

As it so happened, instead of trying to get on early at HW or BW like usual, a market bookmaker got my business instead, and just my luck was 3 times bigger odds than HW or BW had, but i'd just like to know what the reason for all bookmakers deciding to open betting together at 1:30 this afternoon was.

Hi Bushy, all I can say for now is that the focus this week has been sorting out the website with regards to the early betting odds, and with exactly a month today, there has been big prep getting done on the Durban July. Hence why the betting has been coming out later than usual.

All the meetings for this coming weekend have been priced up and are available to bet on.
