Pity about Shea Shea but sound like you are watching some great racing

If you watch the replay,I'm sure the cowboy thought he had won..I'm not sure how Shea Shea is normally ridden but
yesterday he was given a hands and heels ride..The persuader was not used and one crack could have made the difference to a
horse who had nothing to race with in the finish..he even said Shea Shea hardly had a race,,WHY

Dam line has produced the very good (at stud) Silver Hawk and I honed in on that Danzig /Roberto cross.....never saw the race but the jock engagement suggests he was there to make the pace......::o

The momentum was with the winner.Difficult to ask for another gear at that stage when the horse was doing it in the hands so well so maybe we can argue if he saw the winner coming thru.I don't think that was possible.Soumillion is a great rider and Shea Shea got a great ride.Ask MDK.I cannot see the need for the whip when the horse hasn't put a foot wrong. Now reverse the draws on the two horses and we get a new result

Maybe in experience cost him?? Had it been a Hughes/Moore or even Strydom on the horse then Shea Shea might of won??

If I had anything to do with it I would be studying the form of the other runners since SS now has Ascot form

Read on another thread that he was hardly pressed...... on the wrong side of the track and would have preferred more speed......since he is there nothing wrong with having another crack on the weekend.......even though it is not the staffer style to run them close up........ you can't win it if you not in it.......;)

To be perfectly honest for me his flaw was that he might have encouraged SS a touch early but its hard to say.
