Isn't it funny how people pick up bad habits from other people to try and sound knowledgeable. How many times do we hear in the winners interviews "THE HORSE DIDN'T BEAT MUCH" or "IT BEAT A VERY WEAK FIELD" ?
This gets said by interviewers, jockeys, trainers and even some owners. What really floors me is when in the pre race interview the interviewer says something like "THIS IS A NICE HORSE AND SHOULD GO CLOSE" then when it wins the same person says "IT DIDN'T BEAT MUCH"
What a lot of bollocks every horse that wins beats the horses that show up to challenge it in that race. Why must its efforts be down played just because the interviews are so monotones and every interview consists of the same boring old questions.
Every jockey and trainer interviewed, baring precious few, always have chances on their future rides. Do we really expect them to say, "NO MY HORSE IN THE LAST HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE"?
And while I am having a bitch, the production staff at TT are now to lazy to produce the winning connections and horse breeding slide like they used to after each race. OK already they have made their point, TT is for punting I get it and punters need to punt every 15 minutes (so they say) but really can't we just keep a small semblance of the sport going?
Well that's my say for 2013, our runners have been coming in the last 3 no matter what trainer they are with but I still love the sport. I tried punting big on Daily News day and bankered COTT in everything, lost bombs and am licking my wounds so please excuse the outburst, just venting.

Orange, no need to apologize when venting your frustrations, it is only natural.

What I hate most about telletrack is that they never concerntrate fully on a south african meeting, instead of showing the winning interviews so the punter might get some insight into a jockey or trainers chances in the races to come or whatever, they rather show a race from the uk or france. Its bloody annoying.
