We have had very hard rain today. Spoken to Course Manager earlier and pentrometer already at 33. Racing in jeopardy if rain persists.

Few mob-handed today so having a look at those with fewer runners / combis (suppose Muzzi/ Snaith leaps out but what prices). Having a look at Barend Vlooh / Bass & Sol / Uren & Niekerk . Any help with these much appreciated.(tu)

R1 and the only race I did it for, was experimenting but may as well post it as I've done it lol in case it helps anyone, if not just ignore as usual
My Santana... seems to run best this course and has some decent recent efforts but record from a wide draw not particularly good. Smith stable still seems below par.
Norvic... former CT horse, looks to have a very decent chance but draw could be a problem.
George the Third... another Smith runner, ok draw and ok run over further last time.
Safee... refused to run last time and 3ls to find with MS though the worse draw for the latter may see the form overturned. Wiese stable and not convinced they are firing currently.
Battle of Hastings... well behind MS and Safee in Patentado run (1600) on only try at this course. Did though finish well ahead of MS and GTT in Mr Goss run (2000) at Fairview, had the best draw of the three that day.
Full Fathoms Five... wide draw, seems held on run behind Mr Goss.
Red Reserve... Would be keener if not for the recent poor form of the Smith stable. 2nd run after rest, wide draw, may prefer further but ran well recently over 2000 and from wide draws. If all well then has a definite chance.
Grayson... has run an occasional fair race but holds little appeal.
The Knobster... Smith runner, appears the one with the worst chance on form, wide draw... but down in distance and Domeyer rides this one.
Guiseppe... mentioned on ABC a couple of times but has disappointed. Good draw but no longer interested in this one (so will probably win!)
Slippery Slope... runner-up five times (and two thirds) in 18 runs, has a second in two course runs and a second in two distance runs, both runs here over 2400. Ok draw and has a decent chance.
Syndicator... sadly for Anthony has some ok runs but doesn't seem to have the little extra needed. Has the 1 draw here but only one third in 12 course runs.
Sky Raider... Bass yard, might have nibbled if 3x current price! Up in distance and best run was over 1600 so may improve at 1800 from a good draw.
Soviet Flyer... Greef/Randolph and has not been a mile off in recent starts, up in trip again which may suit. Decent draw.
Short Shrift... wide draw and nothing appeals.
Olivian... Takes on boys and has weakened over 1600 last 2 runs, probably not affected by recent stable cloud but could benefit from their return to form. runner-up in only attempt at distance and has run some fair races. Decent draw and could run better than the 25/1+ price
Reserve... Hurricane Hunter... rarely far off even from wide draws which he has again here. Smith stable. Not out of it if gets a run.
Reserve... Wogsy... Smith stable, no appeal
Selection... Norvic x Slippery Slope x Red Reserve x Soviet Flyer (Idiot: Olivian)
