So what happens to those horses that are not profitable? In South Africa?
I think there is no denying that most (some)become a meal ... 'soup meat' as they are referred to...
So where are these slaughter houses in South Africa?
If some do relish a horse steak, and some do, or simple relish a meal per se,then surely a steroid, antibiotic pumped ex racehorse is not fit for human consumption? Are there any regulations?

The British equivalent of the FDA has already warned that most horse meat contains bute.
This may also infer that nearly all racehorses are doped ...
