Tax on sport bets

Can anyone tell me why Hollywood tax on sports bets in Eastern Cape but Marshall's dont?

Only taxable if you mix Horses and sport...otherwise they dont tax sport bets

Nope, Hollywood Eastern Cape taxed my friend on a single rugby bet.

Highlanders HT 4750/5000. Took R285 tax off. Got back R9465

Then that is in error and i have no doubt they will refund him...strange as the payouts should be done on the computer..but if you contact them im sure they will sort it out...

Just spoke to manageress, Thuli at Hollywood Newton Park. Tax on all bets, sport and horse, 6%

That has never happened to me with WOS. There is no tax on sports betting, not from like 2 weeks ago. Perhaps it has now changed?

Wouldn't put it by the thieving government to try and tax even more events......:(
