"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Friday 29th February Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.......

The 1st runner we wanted 2.8, and with being around 2.92 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at 2.8. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.1 and beyond, so a chance for builders and traders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade looked beat several times, but even when looking to be easily passed late on, she found more to come back and win a photo! so you can only say well done, and the way it goes. Glad of the 'free' bet now though.........

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.5, and with being a well supported 2.3 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.3. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......

The 3rd runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.38 on arrival and then quickly tumbling down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.32 max. The lay was a gallant 2nd, and so a good result.........

The 4th runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.72 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 1.6. The lay finished a very disappointing 5th, so a good result.........

The 5th runner we wanted 3.2, and with drifting to around 3.25 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 3.2 max. The lay ran a dreadful race and was easily beaten, so we'll take that and a good result........

The 6th runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.22 on arrival and getting shorter (went odds on), we had a lay at around 2.22 max. The lay got left around 10 lengths at the start, so that was nice, and did well to only get beat a few lengths back in 3rd. So a good result.........

The 7th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.28 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and beyond, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay looked in trouble a few times, and probably would've got beat had the eventual 2nd not hit the last two flights, but that's the game and the lay went and won, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.......

The 8th runner we wanted 2.5, and with being around 2.78 on arrival and just getting bigger, and bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.............

The 9th runner we wanted 1.6, but a very important non runner and 45.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 1.33. The price was around 1.25 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at 1.25 max. The lay won without much fuss, so no surprise and the way it goes.........

The 10th runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 3.45 on arrival and not coming down to us at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, despite looking the winner for most of the way, and so the drift justified in the end, and one that got away in hindsight........

The 11th runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 2.7 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay went and won well, so we had to take that on chin and the way it goes..........

The 12th and final runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.3 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond, under good late support (went odds on), we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay lead and made all to win well, so the way it goes...........

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED......................(4 from the first 9 (44.5%) - and 6 from the 12 (50%) in total - so a tough day and builders did well to hit and walk, whilst rollers had sheer frustration towards the end)

'Rolling' strategists (no 'free' lays for them) had to concede 1.1 targets................They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a poor start, they then went and hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 4th runner)...............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 5th runner, and hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 6th runner)...............They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 7th runner, and after a flux of well backed winners, then ended up conceding around 3.1 targets after their 4th and final lay (the 12th runner), and so at the end of the session they concede around 1.1 targets....

Strategy/target players (bank builders) started with a 'free' lay that only bought relief...........They then had their 1st lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.3, and a good result see them win a nice chunk of their targets.............They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.32 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....

Traders had to concede a tiny bit on the 9th runner at 1.25 max, , the 11th runner at 2.5 max, and the 12th runner at 2.1 max ,but all others see them make a bit, or break level, so they ended the session a bit down and so they'll accept that with too many winners today...

So builders played the perfect early game and got the money, so well played guys. Rollers went 2 up, but then got in a dour battle as the winners started to flow, and in the end they ended the session 1.1 down and so very frustrating, but the way it goes eh!. Speak soon with this evening's workings...

Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with this evening's workings, and the results mail for this afternoon...
