I'm no Taffy, but can you think of another country that punches so much above its weight regarding sports stars.
The population of Wales is 3.5 million. They have
Most of the Lions
Gareth Bale
Colin Jackson
Lynn Davis
Joe Calzaghe
Nathan Cleverley
Nicole Cooke
John Charles
Ryan Giggs
Ian Rush
Ian Woosname
3 world snooker champions
Endless football and rugby stars from yesteryear
Not to mention their world class singers, choirs and roast lamb.
Hats off to the Welsh.

Strangely enough I was looking at the European Golf Tour money list on Friday and thinking the same thing about SA...we have two in the top four (Sterne and Grace) and three in the top ten (Swartzel).

Would it be out of order to mention Catherine Zeta-Jones and Katherine Jenkins.
I almost forgot my Gran and Grandpa in Cardiff with13 kids and 42 first cousins.
He had a lot of spare time.

You right they are no comparison to SA...I was thinking on the lines of the 'big boys' like the USA and the larger populated European countries. Is there anyone in Wales that is world renowned for being the world leader in their discipline.
