Week after week MR's don't mean a thing in the Cape(western or eastern).
Theoretically there are no upsets in handicap races .........all horses handicapped to deadheat !!!!...........but the conditions and plate races just make fools of the NHA...........co-incidence?.
Good for my PA strategy as I have a rule............never bank in the Cape, and definitely not the best handicapped in plate or condition races, but for how long will there be mug money to take advantage of?
Have to feel for the small perm form student.........hard to survive main race Friday or today with a small outlay.
Upsets are part and parcel of racing but the patterns of some upsets are too consistent to ignore

Peekay,it is a strategy that has payed well in the long run but you need a healthy stake as you can have a few "negative return" weeks but the target market (as Saftote call them) are at a big disadvantage!
