Great question

And already sort of answered but if a jockey can focus on riding and not worry about anything else he will improve and hit higher numbers for sure.
Also for example you can build up a relationship with at trainer that makes it easier to get rides for a jockey. So if i rang alec laird up today amd told him i was working with whom ever he would listen to me and give us a small chance here and there. Then its up to the jock and hard work and luck.

Looked at Stipes reports over the last month received 1 week suspension on 29th June
200 dollar fine in Zim on 30th and a further week last week all for excessive use of the whip
Next time will be 2 plus weeks Cannot win a championship sitting on the stand no matter how good you are
