Dear Julie, Sean Tarry did not say Perigrine was his best on the card. Get better informants if you are going to make such statements on TV. Unless of course my ageing ears are deceiving me! lol

I'll follow the money, Englander and Perigrine
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Why would you, seemingly on purpose, drop yourself in at the back at the start and then a few 100 metres later decide to move up and run three wide for the remainder of the race?

That has left a very bad taste in the mouth Pirho.
I thought Indian had a chance so saved and not lost too badly but that ride on Perigrine...???

I think a bit of over-confidence...and then realised that he had misread it...I just cannot believe the betting...you cannot win at these odds...everything was nearly favourite...:S

I agree re the market. I disagree regarding the ride lol. Even an appie knows not to do what Khumalo did and he's meant to be the man who can do no wrong at the moment. If it had been a big field and he needed to get closer I could understand it but in a small, fairly tightly packed field, no excuse for that ride imo. And why drop yourself in at the back to start with then? Nope, I don't see it Pirho, either utter rubbish or something else....

Is it just his style of running or did Selbourne come home like a cripple, really looked like he was striding short ...:
