Maybe talking from my pocket a bit, but hell of a strange riding tactic (if you can call tearing off to the front a tactic) by Strydom, never really gave him a chance to win. Opinions please??

Nor sure perhaps the horse just took hold and that was that otherwise crap ride.

50% of what Strydom rides goes to the front these days,so I don't see why the tactics should be a surprise.

Look I think he wanted to steel the race! Lets wait and see what the news from the stable is? I know a few yards have got lots of sick horses no jokes here!

Certainly no joke for the Woodruff stable; 16 runners on the day with a good couple of them fancied; not even a place on the day.

I thought Piere got the pace wrong and went way too fast, don't think he will admit it but it's one of those where even the top guys get it wrong.

Watched the re-runs early this morning. Going to change my mind. You got to take the good with the bad. Mentor similar tactics and they worked. Eddington just got out run in the end.

Agree with Vaal sentiment. The yards are running up to crap. They just look flat.

Woody must be tearing his last few hairs out.
