Who Are You- Navigating around TBA sales venue:S

:S....I have always enjoyed my status of anononimity and the pimpernel behavior I have aquired in remaining anonomous....frankly it suits me to be incognito..... especially when at sales venues where I do not want to engage with the breeders to hear all the spiel that goes with one having to extract horses from boxes.....I went along yesterday thinking that most would be away at the golf day.....no sooner had I made a bee line to the furtherst line of boxes housing the best of what the CAPE has to offer.....out steps a promenent breeder....."excuse me sir but you have just walked past our future star filly..." FFS if she is going to be that good....she would not be on the sale....you and your cronies would hang onto her for dear life....is what played out in my head....I greeted him by name and said no thanks in my best Ozzie accent.....he was totally flumuxed and retreated into his well appointed office.....he and other breeders then watched me pull the smallest squibbish horse I have ever seen.....sh!t the ped looked so promising on paper.....a 1st foal from an imported and very well bred dam.....the ped is a match but to a sire that may never fire with anything else....more generations of flops when they send her to the top sires....yet her best match was just to get that 1st foal out and on to bigger things....I then engaged with the grooms in my even better Kaapse brei....the eavesdropping breeders now had mouths agape and realized I was a local and started out towards me....put her back in her box.....next year I will be after her sister....and I darted off....

Next was the KZN boys....Sir would you like me to take him from the box...."No thanks I prefer to see what they do in a box, as they will be spending 80% of the time in one"....besides this chap in the box had an emense boner and seemed more happy in the box....best not let him out while they were parading a filly to a host of horsey fems....not sporting at all....and besides this guy has been hyped to the hilt the big money boys will be bidding into the BARS....and this fine specimen will be more interested in mounting anything on four legs....minus his tackle may just be another battler....:S

.....He's a good walker....:S....no thanks I prefer one that can actually run.....

.....the full brother is up for the top juvinile award....yes I know that and that is why I'm not interested.....there is little chance on improving on that.....:

.....you know that the half sibling sold for over a million.....then why has it not raced yet....

Interesting ... sounds like its more a game of holding onto your money than spending it .. on soupmeat, as they say.

had an exiting day picking something and still get goosebumps from some.... and had the most wonderful chat with jenny blyth (clifton) and tannie lyth and oom neil of Bosworth ......didnt go check one of their horses for sale and still offered us a filly to lease , nice.....2 darlings that can chat forever ..... Now i hope that big great walker is not too expensive.....
