Where's Wally?
11 years 9 months ago
Was just considering with Flash Harry and County member coming back to join us what happened to Wally?
I always kept in touch and visited him on my trips to the July, and then he never answered calls or mails?
He was one of our early posters and a character , check the who are you posts

Am 60 years old. And......H A P P Y !!!!!!!!!
Smoking - Installed industrial fan above my workstation in the lounge just to move the smoke around. 6 different cigar boxes close to hand and at least 3 x 30 Styvesant boxes on site. Also 3 x Zippo so I don't get MAL. And a tin of Snuff.
Drinking - All the time. When pub opens downstairs I'm there for 4/5 draughts before coming back upstairs in time for the racing. Put happy-box next to my chair and refill glass as needed. Red or White - no difference. Have wine rack of about 50 good reds but only use for meals. Got JW Black but only in case Scotia visits. LOL. Prefer Famous Grouse for after racing. As a nightcap a few large Capt.Morgans with a dash of coke are good.
After retiring to watch crime/detective shows, if I want a smoke ( no smoking in the bedroom ) I go back to the loung and may have a few Elephants trunks (Amarula)
Music - Andreas Vollenweider and more and more.
Also Classical - have about 200 hours on the old Reel to Reel outfit.
Please let me not forget Monty Python, The Goons and all British comedy.
Movies - Where they say "Shut the F**k up - No, You shut the F**k up - No, You shut the F**k up. Stupid Type Movies.
Food - Seafood. I once bought 172 crayfish from the sellers at Port St.Johns and took them back to Umtata. Bought for 50 cents each and sold for R 1.50. Made R 84.00 My mates and all the connections had the rest.
Also, any meat of any kind on any fire.
Last time I wore a pair of long pants was at my daughters wedding in 2002.
Wear shorts to funerals - I dont care.
My sex life has gone to shit. It's all these blood pressure pills I'm taking. They really do CALM you down.
Married - The wife is in Cape Town and I live with a gorgeous girlfriend in Durban. Works for all three of us. We are the best of friends. Bought them both an apartment and they are both happy.
Children - Twins. 31 years old. Monique in Capetown - Got two Grandsons. Justin in Port Elizabeth - Living-in girlfriend. Like his Ol'Man.
Owned a Pub / NiteClub in Empangeni for 10 years. Got shot a few times in an armed robbery in 2005. Lost my left leg above the knee. Retired now and play the horses everyday. Mostly Doubles for a better return.
Live on the Beachfront in Durbs.
Get around in a wheelchair. Also to the pub downstairs. For longer distances I use my battery powered 4 wheel scooter. Gets 50kms before recharge. For longer, longer distances I can still drive my Chrysler automatic.
All the major shops are within 200 metres, including the Tote and a Bookie.
Very conveneint. Plus Doctor and Dentist on First Floor.
So..... What more do I want in life ? A few more years of watching the fishermen on the pier catching shad. The Specials strutting their stuff on the beachfront. An extremely delicious bunny-chow with a bottle of wine. And, of course, a few winners to pay for it all.
I post under Wally and my real name is Wally Cameron-White.

I used to meet him in the Beach Hotel? and that was at the foot of his block of flats and then we went to a very dodge wee pub under the escalator to meet his mates. I am sure if you were to ask the people there we could get an update
