Hey guys, does anyone remember the east cape hurdle races held in the early 2000s where sky rocket, arundel are a few names that come to mind. Where they sponsored races? How come they died off? And also in the cape there use to be amateur hunt races held over distances like 1400m I remember a horse like hot wasabi, why were these races also stopped? Anyone have any idea?

They raced regularly at Kenilworth....I think the "nature conservation" inside the Kenilworth track could have played a part....best for me was certain horses racing twice in one meeting.....

There was a horse ,think the name was Sandy that ran in two races at the same meeting.Winning quite convincingly each time despite the penalty.Loved going to the Cape Hunt meetings then.
