R2 10 Front Man x 1 Grayson x 2 Norvic
R3 15 Mega Mel x 10 Kindred Spirit x 9 Maturin x 5 Patentado
R4 4 Pure Honey x 1 Blushing Peter x 11 Manonthecatwalk
R5 3 Insearchofthesun x 1 Breezing Through x 5 The Ford x 11 Ebro
R6 1 Icemberg x 3 Sedge x 5 Russian Mig
R7 1 Rain Gal x 10 Silvan Spirit x 11 Show Time x 7 Pamela Sue
R8 14 Rock The System x 5 Variety Star x 11 Sustain Space x 6 Aspen Angle
R9 1 Princess Creo x 10 Elegant Tune x 9 Quick Delivery

For what it's worth Englander, I have no idea why Princess Creo is such a hot ticket. It has just won a maiden but when you look at the times, sectional, 400f etc. it is the slowest horse in the race and gains some pounds tomorrow? My money would much rather be on Katie Em and the Uren horse. They are weighted similar and even to the last time they met, but I reckon Katie Em having two runs additional under the belt will make up for the 0.75 beating, very little between them, although Katie hasn't run a 1200 in a while. IMHO Princess Creo will run stone cold last.

Very similar day to the Vaal meeting today with plenty competition and horses evenly matched. Been looking at the form now for over an hour and I cant say anything tickles my fancy except maybe the last race. Talking about handicaps.

Good luck fellas!

If they run I think I have found a little spook in the first race.

Battle Of Hastings at 50/1 is a nice place horse. Blinkers back on and it had shown some OK'ish form over further.
It has a decent draw and the field is supremely weak. Legatee is no good thing over this distance and Butterfly Child.....well, she has had her chances, not in open company for me.

Happy punting!

Thanks Prof... from memory, I don't think you are (necessarily... as I still think it is still my selection ) wrong, I put "open" next to three or four races but the last was the only one where I had a ??? in front of the selections in my jottings, which basically means there was a fair amount of guesswork involved and I didn't really have any confidence in the selections made. The going may of course also have an impact. I did like Butterfly in the first and Mega in the 3rd...and now I've gotta run! :)

Red Banner won a smart race on J&B met day at nice odds, he has not really reproduced that run...in its defence it has been competing against some quality sorts in the Cape. Like the fact that Wayne is riding the horse as he might get the best out of him with his aggressive style of riding. Going to add into all exotics.
