.....How are these clowns going to work a Bi-pot and P6 together into local meetings.....the two bets cannot exist together.....unless Bi -pot is for international racing fields......
.....The Bi-pot existed for Vaal meetings as there was no competing exotics for those meetings.....no PA and P6 was not even conceived then but maybe a JP the memory is a bit fuzzy.....a group of us played often but caught it only one time.....plenty sceaming in the day when senior jocks in thin fields would allow claiming appies to steal races......:

The Quinpot in the Cape was actually one of my favourite bets.It was over 5 legs and ran from what is now the 1st leg of the Pick 6 to the last leg of the Jackpot. The 1st 2 horses qualify and I was successful many times especially when one dropped out of the jackpot in a close finish, the Quinny would come to the rescue
Look forward to playing it again by whatever name its called...

Don't know about other Tracks but there was a Bi-Pot at the Vaal only and consisted of 6 legs. First 2 past the post, no couplings and pay outs were good at times, no PA and only Bi-Pot & JP.
The Bi-Pot was not that easy to catch because as mentioned the Vaal was for the more inconsistant Horses.

The Bi-pot was over 6 legs. I lost one in the early eighties when Huriba - Huriba broke a leg. It was way ahead when this happened in the straight. The bi-pot paid R179 000. Good money for those years!!
