Pubs that run out of Smirnoff and tipsters that tell you they spoke to the jock who has never heard or seen the guy before! And okes that carry baseball bats and don't invite us for a dop?

Something I have heard more and more lately. When a trainer is asked prior to a horse making its debut if it had any chance and the reply is.......Nice horse/type, will need the experience.

How many "nice horses" do we have running on our tracks :)

Amazing how may of the "nice" horses end up as nice riding horses a few months later - A clever friend told me that you can learn a great deal about a horse from its first run and that approach works more often than not.
