Just remember Cecil is being told when to talk by the director and how long to talk for - He does not have carte blanche to do what he likes

Of course I do - When you watch the credits of any live show you will see there is a Director listed - This person tells the presenter what to do - It would be impossible for a presenter technically to cross to different scenes and links(and put up slides etc) while talking - He is told that he should talk on a scene change etc - If anyone actually thinks Cecil is in control of when he talks they are mistaken - What he says when he talks is different though because then he makes the call on how to relay the info

I have read this thread with interest and watched Cecil waffle on immediately post race while interesting things were going on.This is the producers fault. He cuts the live feed and unfortunately producers today don't have a clue what the viewer wants.They are not racing people.Wayne Belling was the best producer.

the racing person in the studio is the presenter and when shaheen is presenting and we had frankel running and soft falling rain winning at newmarket he TELLS the production staff please stay with those live pictures and interviews etc...you will battle to find production people who are racing people so the presenter must take charge plus in the morning before the shift starts you go through the big racing attractions for the day especially with south african interest and you INSTRUCT THE PRODUCER what to keep on and not what to keep on....
