I take it by the simple outcry from this forum that this case warrants a very serious inquiry and it would seem broad owner and punter support to ensure operators and regulators take the necessary action swiftly.

As an owner I have refused (and still refuse) to send my horses to Kimberly for some time now and this position stands. I think all owners should take this stance until the NHA can convince us that regulation in the region is implemented and administered in a consistent, fair, strict and professional manner. Until then owners should boycott the center in favor of other centers.

As a punter I will not place a single bet on Kimberley until I can be convinced of the same above. I challenge other punters to do the same.

As a massive supporter of the industry and someone who would dearly like to the see the wrongs righted and the industry move froward from strength to strength into the future I make this promise. If the appropriate action is not taken by the operator and regulator I too will run down my interests in racing and breeding and advise the several other owners that I have brought to racing to do the same.

I don't make this as a threat, and see this as the only real support I can show for the horses... my only hope is that the appropriate action is taken swiftly.

This is not an isolated case , cruelty of different forms is happening at most of the training centres.

I think racing needs its own SPCA that is completely independent of the NHRA ,Racing Operators & Trainers.

I would volunteer my services to the above because I really care about Thoroughbreds and I love Racing .
