How is draw effected when there are scratchings?
11 years 10 months ago
Let's say a horse I like is drawn 10, but two horses drawn 9 and 8 are scratched. Does my fancy jump from the 10 gate or do they move it to the 8 gate. Anyone know the rule?

In the UK on race day the horse would still have the 10 draw above his gate, but this doesn't happen in SA , so when your sitting watching the 10 box to see your horse jump your wasting your time

Depends on the time of scratching. If scratched at the start of a race then no change
